it was my first and last time, end of story. just nothing else better to do on a sat night.

anyways.

after beating the shit out of the car tonight (bad idea on my retarded compression), everytime I let off the throttle to shift, the revs jump up 1000rpm.

actually if i gas it at all and just release the throttle, the revs jump up before dropping down... something wrong with my throttle body?

Check the tension on the throttle cable, adjust as necessary. Couldn't hurt to get a toothbrush and actually clean the inside of the throttle body too...

true. if the cable is too tight your throttle will open when the engine rocks back and forth and runs out of slack in the cable.

No offense, but serves you right, glad you considered it your last time. All these ricers in Harrisonburg are really not worth the time for half the members in here. Glad you showing maturity tho for realizing it, props.

Edit: Give details on the car like turbo, what kind of car also? Would make it much easier to diagnose.

yeah yeah yeah. i just went out there to look at cars and i succumb to peer pressure.

I fixed it btw. I guess i had some loose bolts on my idle air control valve... they backed out and the valve was literally hanging off the intake manifold.

tighten all your bolts, kids!
