Scotty made me a lamp!

Well this is a little late, but i have managed to hang this up at the top of my stairs. This was fabricated by ScottyB and my other roomate at the time Patfo. This was created from the original headlight assembly that was in the VW before i converted it over to the single rounds. A little wood was added for support.

We talked about making it into a lamp and he kinda knew i was too lazy to actually do it. I have to thank him for this because it is awesome!! Blue LED's are located in the headlamps and the GTI emblem is the activation switch (sliding it back and forth will turn it on and off). Originally our plans were to make the VW emblem in the middle a push button, but that was entirely too complicated. Just wanted to share

yeah it doesn't stay on that often, it's more of a night light

thankfully the LEDs are really pretty weak, but perfect as a night light or low-ambiance type setup
