Teckademics approached us because they are very much interested in promoting legal ways of testing the limits of your car and they truly believe in our event. They are spreading the word about our event because they like the fact it is in a controlled environment and are devoting a huge portion of their next video to Hyperfest coverage. So even though their fan base may be different than what our NASA events usually attract, it will definitely introduce new people to our sport and what can be done legally and off the streets. So hopefully a win, win situation for all. Maybe they will want to start attending track events rather than spending so much money on all those accessories!

If anyone wants to help spread the word about Hyperfest, they can do so by hyping it up on all the various forums out there. Our initial flyer distribution in May was 20,000 and we are still awaiting our next shipment which should arrive by Thursday. (Delays, delays, delays). For those who e-mailed me their address, I will forward flyers and posters along to be posted. Papa John's has signed on and they will be attaching flyers to 20,000 pizza boxes in the northern VA area. We have a foot patrol at various car shows over the next few weeks passing out flyers.

Forums are another great way to get the word out, and although there are a lot of threads out there already, there are still lots of forums to go. If you can help, great. In order for this co-sponsored event with Summit Point Raceway to continue, this one really needs to be a success and we want to double our attendance from last year. Grassroots efforts and word of mouth tend to be the most successful I think. You can do a google search on car forums, etc and hundreds pop up. This is sort of what I have been saying on various forums:

Anyone going to Hyperfest this year? The next one is July 16 at Summit Point. Racing, drifting, car shows, live band, fireworks, etc. And I give any other information pertinent to the forum. Here is the link:

One avenue of forums which I haven't addressed are guitar/music forums. Paul Reed Smith Guitars is a major sponsor and they will have a huge hospitality tent and will be raffling off a very expensive, autographed guitar. They are the major provider of guitars to the "stars" and are responsible for helping us to get the band Theory of a Deadman. The PRS band will be performing during the day and a well known guitarist will also be there (I need to ask Chris his name because apparently a lot of people know it.) That information will be on the hyperfest website soon.

Fox News and the Tony Snow Show (National coverage) will be taping at Hyperfest this year so that will be some great national coverage for us and many more magazines will be there this year as well.

my only guess is the space in the file name. it *should* resolve to the correct thing (browsers are kinda smart), but that is my only guess.

awesome vid... yeah the space in the file name was giving me problems too, but i was able to circumvent that problem.
