Well, I headed off with my girlfriend hannah (some of you have met her) on a wild and wonderful trip up the west coast of california. Armed with camping supplies and a vovlo v40 turbo station wagon with great brakes and the service light on the whole time. (and it blew a fuse... fucking volvos)

Windy, and coastal, route 1 was an amazing playground... that got MMed Smile

It was a weekday when we hit route one so I tore the SHHIT out of it... lol. You can't speed on that road. Speed limit is 55 and all the turns are scary past 35mph. Lol.... SOOOO much fun. I woulda paid money to have my RX but the volvo in sport mode wasn't too bad...

Horseback riding... man that shit was scary (it was my first time). We rode through rivers. Got my legs soaked.

Notice two things... the service light and the temperature. Well... the temperature was only that hot in the valley. (Not in yosemite)

There's a picture I haven't put up yet of a road that I got to drive on on the way back from Kings Canyon. It was marked as a tiny road on the map and it was undergoing construction, but since it was the weekend, there was NO ONE working on the road. It was a newly constructed WIDE 2 lane road with no lane markers and WIIIIDE shoulders... snaking through hills. I got to FLYYYYY. It was like a 17mile road course. I wanted to go back and do it again. Hannah wasn't too keen on the idea though Wink

A couple times. It is interesting to see your pics that trigger my memories. What a great place Northern CA really is. Instead of Yo Semite! We climbed Mt. Shasta.

don't you have to be 25 anyway to rent a car?....i hate that rule...

some rental car places will give you a car for an extra fee. i rented from enterprise when we were in cali and it was like an extra $10/day.
