Post show bling needs
#1
Seeing as I was out-blinged at the show by a long shot I have started early in what will be the most pointless waste of time of my whole project (and that is sayin something!) I plan to polish almost everything in the engine bay, with the exception of the V/C which is gonna be the bling on black/polish T2 style. This is the start of the intake. Any comments? How can I get in the tight spots? Any help/comments would be great.

After 2hrs... 1/3 done.

Also, I scored a monster big TB for it. (old on left, new on right)

So that is the plan... and this is the V/C I want...

looks good dude. i can't think of any way to get in small places except to just get some sandpaper and do it by hand

for small places it's all by feel...be delicate to reach those tiny places...a bit of sandpaper wrapped around a screwdriver or even a long fine file can help...

Use a dremmel. You can get a really thin sanding bit and get into all those really tight spots.

Just to clarify...
Upon my asking what he thought Rex informed me that my polish job "looked like poop." So we determined that I am going for less of a polish and more of a brushed look. Sylvia wants it mirror finish but I'm just not sure I can devote THAT much time to it.

Word, I like it too. It will be the hotness with the red Valvecover. I have decided to paint it the same color as the car. Then polish out the "turbo" wordage.

My only post show bling are the nice dents I have in my front left fender that I'm going to have to attempt to get repaired over break. Why can't people just leave well enough alone.... :?

sad thing is.. I never park near people, always on edge spots.. yet somebody decided they didn't like the curves on my car and they wanted to add their own lines... Luckily it didn't mess up the paint so pulling them out shouldn't be too much of an issue.. Cry
