i'm trying to find the perfect way to get panoramic shots using my "getting old" Canon A200 2.0mp point and shoot. i've been at it for about an hour now. it's not merged exactly right on this one, but i was playing in photoshop and it made it look better this way. so i thought i'd share. it might be the cheap Canon software that won't work it out right, but i can't seem to get the far end of the desk and the file cabinet to merge right. the rest does fine, it's always in that spot. any tips?!?!?!

it's "my" room. the rest of the house is hers Sad

the only thing i can think of is take several pictures of that layout and try and merge them instead of just two. The angle variation from the lens might have caused a distortion. Nice picture and nice set-up!

jeremy...thats a hot picture! i can't remember it right now but i know i've heard of a program that "stiches" large images together to make panoramic ones. i'll hunt around for it and give you a link if i can find it.

that's what i did. i tried more pictures and less pictures. i think that one there is a total of 4, maybe 5. it's something about that corner that won't stich right. i'm using Canon PhotoStich which probably isn't the best, but it's all i have.

*edit*

also i was using a tripod. i'm wondering if it has to do with focusing [scratching head]

it's a little better now. still a little wavy. i was using infinity focus before, this time i left it on auto. added some filters in PS to brighten it up a bit.

if your camera has it, use manual exposure settings and keep them the same for each pic. definately still use a tripod though.

We'll have to get together and jam sometime.

And the pictures are hot.

well, i try. i spend more time on the computer  i've been setting things up for a long time.....slowly. i've been playing since late 80's. i'm not really a keyboard player btw, that one on the stand is my girlfriends. i just have it set up for her. the one on the desk is a Midi controller. i use it for ...well Midi purpuses. like controlling some varibles in my audio/sequencer software, samples, drums, noises and various sounds. "eventually", i'd like to have more of a real studio.
