I had a student at roebling 2 weeks ago in a 996 porsche that had never even laid eyes on a race track - if that doesnt sound like a disaster waiting to happen......

and he had an instructor who had never even laid eyes on Roebling....... hock:

In a best case scenario we can break even or make a small amount of $$ (less than $1000) but there is a large amount of risk involved that must be taken into account.

Right... but we would only need to put up $1000 up front, and if for whatever reason the event is a few weeks out and we're upside down its easy to call it off and get our deposit back.

I thought you were talking about summit main. Thats way too much goddamn $$ to rent Jeffy No wonder no clubs run events there anymore.

I have heard its cheaper to rent jeffy during a scca race weekend though... might be worth looking into. The solo1 I did there last year was $135/person and there were maybe 50 people there - scca had a double regional on the main track that weekend.
