I've used a ton of Rotary lifts. I wouldn't use anything else (well, maybe a Hunter).
Whatever you do, don't buy a Challenger lift. Structurally they're identical to a rotary lift and look tempting for cost savings, but the motors and hydraulic systems on them are absolute shit.
