It ran well, but hot. The new bumper doesn't channel air well enough, so I need to build some stuff to encourage air to go through the rad... I think that's the problem. Traction is still a problem. I have almost everything I need in the garage to get the power down, just need the time to get it installed. Then, I need to figure out the brakes. With 6 piston wilwoods and 13x1.25 rotors, this thing should stop on a dime and it SUCKS. That's my order of priorities.
Handling is getting really close though, and drivability has improved tremendously! Most importantly, though, it's a blast and I'm really enjoying driving it. Finally.

Woot! Have you tried a different pad compound? Im running on my backup race pads and they blow donkey balls. They are EBC yellows and are hateful, but for free im running them till I can afford my regular pads that are my favorite. (Performance Friction PFC06s).
I swear, worst pads ever, braking was insanely crappy this weekend, im hoping Scott Blair took video cause he literally would catch 3-4 car lengths on me in the braking zone into turn 1. Got lucky that my one flying lap (of the entire weekend) was enough to hold him off.
The new wing feels....weird. I guess im still not use to Aero-grip. Feels like its not even there on the straightaways, woooweee even with the heat and humidity the car felt faster in a straight line. However, in the corners, I simply was not use to the grip, and I consistently was slow out of turn 10 (well, for like the 4 laps I got in). My next modification while the car is in the shop getting the cage is to build a new splitter out of plywood. My alumalite splitter has seen better days and apparently was flapping around in the wind according to my friend.

Thanks to all the "Workers". This is a tremendous effort and you folks make it look easy peasy!
We had a great Hyperfest weekend. Saturday SM race was a bit on the boring side until the re-start. Same for Sunday until a slower PTC driver decided to make it very difficult for me to get by him...FOR 2 LAPS..then forced me far outside in 5 and off in the mud.... Points are still close for the Championship as a result.....
I had a great time this weekend, catching up with everyone and meeting a couple new faces. Good times! I gotta say, it was pretty much like any track weekend for me - Hyper wasn't so fizzy this year it seems, not that it bothered me - the track part of it was where it was at this year, some awesome racing, cars, and of course people. Congrats and thanks to all those who made it happen!

Qualified in the middle on Saturday and was catching up top SSM guys until an out of class car decided block for several laps. I finally pressured him enough for him to make a mistake in 3 and I got around but I lost too much ground to make up. Sunday I qualified in the middle of the pack again in the rain, but by race time the track had dried. At the start a car in front of me missed a shift sending cars everywhere. I went from the middle to last place before the start/finish line. On the plus side I made up 10 spots by the end and got back to where I started.........

WTF kind of car is that? I can't even tell. I wants me a HEMI! I should have come out this year I think I will make a real effort to be there next year. It will be hard being there as just a "normal Joe" though and not a worker.
