Unless they also take 300 or 400 pounds out of it I don't see even a suspension overhaul helping it that much, plus it's overall height is a good 4 inches taller than that of it's rivals at Ford and Chevy.

I'd say the Challenger is over weight when compared to the other cars in its segment.
