Got some footage from me and Carrie's third driver, Stinger. It was fun reeling in that jackass in the M5.

Proof that the XR made it to an event this year :-).

I had a really good time. My first time in TT and I really enjoyed it. Open passing and what I felt were better drivers overall. They seemed much more aware, which is likely due to the open passing. I did one HPDE 3 so I could run with Sean Schutte (during which we both went off) and promptly decided that I was hooked on TT.

The XR handled better than it ever has, thanks to new shocks, rear coilovers, and corner balancing it. It was actually predictable - what a concept!

Brakes need work - a lot of work. I had to brake at the first marker at T1 and that's from just 130mph. I think I need real pedals to get the masters and calipers talking correctly. Ugh.

Also, my viscous "limited slip" just laughed at me this weekend. I couldn't get any power down on any corner exit, and that got frustrating. The car was handling great but the inside rear was smoking, even with gentle throttle. I was just coasting through the carousel too, which was even more frustrating. Gave me a good time to work on my line, but I really want to be able to power out of it. I think I can fit in a GM 7.5" Torsion T2R with some typical XR effort, so hopefully that'll be the case this winter.

The car made it all day Saturday, a total of 7 runs, without breaking. I pulled it onto the trailer and back into the garage under its own power. Just what the doctor ordered in terms of enthusiasm and desire to keep doing it.

Good to see everyone there, and congrats to DJ on the great lap time. Hopefully I'll see you all at VIR in February.

Best,
Peter
