I've got a friend with a 635csi. He has new bilstein shocks and lowering springs and michelin pilots on 8 inch wide wheels and the thing still handles like a tank. They are great cars for driving around town and on the highway but I couldn't see myself wanting one. The m6 is alot more expensive as far as the motor goes but other than that most of the parts are the same as the regualar 6 as far as I know.

$23k will buy a very nice M3 ten years newer, more reliable, and faster than an M6.
and that huge M6 bumper is just nasty
23k will get you a gem. 20k will get you one that is very nice w/ 50-60k miles.

HAVE YOU GUYS EVER DRIVEN ONE?!?!?
It's the greatest thing ever.... truly one of BMW's earliest marvels on the road and ON TRACK! I've been lucky enough to drive three!
They have on board gyro's that stabilize the car when you get in raising and lowering the car with EARLY OEM HYRDRALIC SHOCKS! They automatically put additional lean in the turns, then the horse power kicks in! You can feel the car grab and take you away. Granted the interior gauges are something out of an old Buick and the seats were from and old Bentley, the car still outperforms so many cars on the road right now with a completely stock system! I've always wanted one to test out on track just because they seem so engineered for it!
They are very hard to come by and nothing like their 6'-series counterpart.
You need to drive the "M" before you know what you are talking about!
