BMW Quitting F1 at end of 2009

Can't say I'm surprised. BMW is a significantly smaller company than Honda so it seems even more risky to sink several hundred million a year into F1 when your sales are down 30%. Still, I would've liked them to stay in rather than packing it up after one bad year but them's da breaks. I think it's rather interesting that they said they want to focus on environmentally friendly goals now though.

I guess they realized that a money pit like F1 simply isn't worth it. I'm not too surprised about it either, but the future of F1 isn't looking too great right now.
