read the jayballa guy...when he says shave the head, wouldn't that actually decrease the compression because he's decreasing the volume inside the block. Wouldn't adding a beefy headgasket work better? or am i backwards?

You're backwards. Shaving the head brings the head closer to the block. Smaller area for gas/air to float around, more compressed explosion, more compression.

the head is the combustion chamber. smaller combustion chamber = higher compression ratio

gotcha. thanks guys. i figured i might be backwards. but that guy is still ridiculous talking sh!t about a ghetto rigged intake and exhaust beating other guys with more power stock...i love the honda forums.
