Let the hate fly, doesn't bother me. I got the car I wanted for a price I couldn't turn down. It's in great shape, runs perfect and is what I've wanted for years. Would I have rather had a manual vert? Sure. But for the money, I'll take a mint condition auto.

I'm going to take the tail light louvers off and see if there is any discoloration on the taillight lensing where the louvers were (they've been there since 2002). If there's no discoloration I'll leave them on, however if the discoloration makes it look bad I'll put them back on.

I was just havin fun...I like the VW. The blue widebody at the last show was one of my favorite cars there. And believe me, I go to a couple "Vette events" a year and unfortunately the reputation is well earned.
