that and finding a true single-deck blackjack table is hard to find, they're almost all two-deck 'single-deck' tables now

my favorite casino there is the Venetian/Palazzo (stayed in the Plaazzo...f-ing *bling*) for the shops, restaurants, and atmosphere.

my favorite casino for gambling is the Monte Carlo - nothing special, i just like the people at the tables and the limits are usually a bit lower than the other larger casinos.

when you're checking out the different casino's check out the chip denominations. the Wynn f-ed me up with their $3 chips at the poker table.

Hey... I'm in vegas right now! (only on a layover)

Now I'm off to find an airport strip club.

Ha, I don't think there is one. I was there a month ago for a layover as well. Some of the weirdest people I've ever seen in an airport. See if you can count how many male stripper posters you find on the moving walkway, and bonus points for finding the gun store poster with the busty chick holding the .50 cal.

If you have any inkling on how to play NL Holdem, go play at the Venetian. Any idiot could beat the 1/2 there, not to mention, the cocktail waitresses pretty much put on a free show Big Grin

The Venetian poker room is by far the nicest in vegas and I recommend you play there. I made a killing there last time (and every time) but definitely spent more on clubbing and strip clubs. Spearmint is alright. It's huge and has lots of girls, but can get pretty crowded. I bumped into Mike Tyson there earlier this month.

Also make sure to do some touristy things such as see the fountain show at the Bellagio, pirate show at Treasure Island, Volcano at the Mirage, light show at the Wynn etc. They'll only provide you a small amount of entertainment, but they won't cost you anything. I think it's worth it to spend some time to see what makes Vegas, Vegas.

Also MGM has some miserable lions, Mirage has some miserable tigers, and the Flamingo has a bunch of flamingos. These are all things that I see if I'm with a non-gambling friend, and they keep me away from the tables. Otherwise, I'd never leave the Venetian.
