I will soon be selling my 2000 Miata so I'm putting it back as close to stock first. I will have some used parts available such as:
-set of single adjustable Koni sport shocks (yellows)
-set of Racing Beat springs
-Flyin' Miata 1" front sway bar w/ poly mounts (great for stock class autox)
-set of immaculate 15x6.5 Konig Heliums in bronze 4x100 bolt pattern(possibly with a set of nearly new Michelin Pilot Exalto summer tires - depending on if potential buyers want them)
I've got a question though that I'd like opinions on. Between my two miatas, i have 3 sets of shocks/springs. The newest miata has the koni yellows/RB springs. The miata i'm selling currently has koni yellows/GC perches and springs and a third OEM set of shocks/springs sitting on a garage floor. i will be swapping the konis/GC combo out of the old miata onto the new miata because i want the adjustability of height and the ease of changing spring rates (because i think the SM rates are crappy).
Now i can put the koni/RB combo on the miata i'm gonna sell or i can put the OEM setup back on and sell the koni/RB's seperately. i know they say that you can get more money by selling a car stock than modified. however, the car will retain the roll bar, competition motor mounts and 4-1 race header because those were a huge pain in the ass to install so i dont want to bother with taking them out. So the potential demographic that i'm gonna be selling the car to might want the koni yellows/RB springs instead of the OEM setup.
My question is, should i put the OEM setup back in the car before i sell it, or just swap in the konis/RB springs? What it basically all boils down to is, can i sell the miata for ~$400 more with the konis/RB than i would with the stock setup?
I guess this is all a moot point if someone wants to buy those konis/RBs outright.
