Pretty much everyone in my wife's hometown (in Vermont) drives a nearly identical car. They're built like brick shithouses, last forever and are appearently very good in the snow.
I guess that makes sense being from Sweden and all.

"Here, at last, is the cure for texting while driving. The millions of deaths which occur every year due to the iPhone’s ability to stream the Kim K/Ray-J video in 4G could all be avoided, every last one of them, if the government issued everyone a Seventies 911 and made sure they always left the house five minutes later than they’d wanted to. It would help if it could be made to rain as well. Full attention on the road. Guaranteed." -Jack Baruth

Never heard that before? Evidently it's much more common in the UK and Australia. Weird... thought it was common here as well.

As in ÔÇ£He was built like a brick shithouseÔÇØ. Term comes from the large brick built outside toilets once common in working class areas of the UK.

That is so freaking cool!
The way I drive my cars, there is no way in hell I could get any car I owned to last a million miles. Of course, I get rid of them so often I barely see 30,000 on any vehicle I own =p

I'm really surprised that's an article with a large news organization, he must be someone's buddy there. There's plenty of Volvos and such out there that make it a million or more.
