No ethanol on sale in woodstock...at least they don't point it out. I think GM pushing flex fuel is rather funny. Every Chrysler minian from 96+ has been "flex fuel." Assuming flex fuel = gasohol.

I have gotten a few check engine lights that I think are from bad gasoline but they disappear on their own after a while.
OT: I went to Sunoco today, don't they sell 94 octane all I saw was 93?
Price watch: Got 93 for $3.11 a gallon today in woodbridge while off of backlick close to 95 south at the no name station it was $3.39 a gallon.

It will improve the knock rating, however, it wil reduce gas mileage as your car will require more ethanol than gasoline. The reason a carbeurated engine may be having problem is it does not read and put in more according to the o2 sensor (even with ethanol, stoich ratio is different but the computer does it right) However without an engine management your car may not be getting enough gas in that it needs causing it to run lean with a different mixture with ethanol.

E10 should not make that much of a difference on *any* car.
And I assume he's not trying to run E85 in the Monte.
