Anyone know anything about speed dropping WRC coverage? They don't seem to have it list anymore. Will anyone be picking it up?

They did/do plan on dropping WRC from Speedvision. There is a huge petition going around trying to get it back. I'll have to go hunt it down... not sure if it will ever be noticed but there are a lot of signatures on it already.

DJ has a good point and that's part of the reason I'm not as upset about it. The championship is not looking very good right now and I seriously wonder how competitive its gonna be with most of the major manufacturers pulling out and no new ones coming in.

Hard to say what caused the decline of WRC although I'd have to say costs and perceived low marketing value (in comparison to other forms of motorsport) is the problem.

Then you look at Mitsubishi and Ford's financial problems which makes WRC a tough sell. Then Honda and Toyota are both busy battling it out in Formula 1 and elsewhere. So who do you have left? DC? Nissan? GM? DC and Nissan/Renault are both in F1 and GM has the same financial problem.

Its a tough time for WRC, hopefully they can restructure the championship and get it healthy again.

You also have the option of signing up for an account on wrc.com... I think it's ~$100 a year or something, but if you're that big a junkie..

Hopefully there will be torrents of the UK coverage.
