Excellent Afghan war thread to read if you're bored

This thread has become so popular in the Mid-Atlantic regional NASIOC forum that it's become stickied. One of the members' brothers is a platoon leader for one of our units over in Afghanistan, and the thread is compiled of emails + pictures of their day to day adventures. They range from the mundane to the dangerous to the humorous. Regardless, it's a really cool perspective into the "Forgotten War" as he calls it. Enjoy it!

My friend brother is a CPT in the 75th Ranger Regiment and got the Silver Star.

My best friend's older brother just finished up a little tour over there.

I myself will probably spend some time in a sandy location after the dli and my other tech schooling.
