Yeah, he is a local to me. I had read something about his runs out at MIR a few months ago.
small jet engines are manufactured for RC Aircraft too.

You can build a small jet engine for less than 50$ if you know what you're doing...most expensive thing will be buying a propane tank to run it

It's called a turbocharger, an ignitor (glowplug), and a propane tank.

Maybe after my 200,000 volt Spud Cannon is finished I'll make one...

(Note, this wouldn't be very good for any kind of propelling mechanism. It's a bit bulky)
