Because not everyone working is working grid...
Do you really think that whoever is working is going to sit down and read the supplemental regs before they head down to VIR?

Well one would think that no matter where you're working you'd want to know the rules for a race when it's not the standard NASA format. It's a lot of f'in information and it can't properly be covered in a quick meeting. Do I really think they'll read the sups, no, do I think they should, yes. Ignorance is no excuse for a worker because the information is available to them. Plain and simple, I'm not gonna have my ass chewed out cause I get assigned some worker who hasn't bothered to read the rules and doesn't understand why pit crews can and can't do certain things, why a racer must come into the paddock not the pits in order to do certain things to their car, why they have to refuel in the pits and can't go back to the paddock, etc.
So I'll ask again, anyone who's working please let me know so I can email you this information.
