Dave Wrote:hah, unless there be a swarm of Kias entered! Big Grin

I always wondered what a group of Kias was called. Flock? Swarm? Gaggle?

Now I know.

Now the real question is the plural of Kia. Is it like sheep, 1 sheep 2 sheep, 1 Kia, 2 Kia?

Or do you add an 's' on the end for Kias? Or maybe some latin, Kiai?

Shit-heaps. Not sure about the hyphenation of course, but I think I've provided a compelling resolution to the "plural" issue.

Awesome!

Now I have the opportunity to say that not only did I pull best in class, but that I roasted a 'vette...

Assuming I beat him. Damn. Some competition. :?

I'll be there to spectate for a bit. Hopefully get an in-car ride with somebody at the track... If anybody needs a ride from Richmond, let me know.

We can take that up with the timing & scoring team

If all MM volunteers could be there around 9:30, that would be fabulous.

Sunday's forecast is looking GOOD Big Grin

See ya-

Back, I had an awesome time.

My times, In the Metro:
Run #1: 76.074
Run #2: 70.997
Run #3: 66.092
Run #4: 65.541
Run #5: 63.201
Run #6: 62.643 (With a passenger! You guys all know what that does to my power-to-weight ratio)
Run#7: 61.866

I think I could have gone faster if I hadn't had to drive the dumb car 2 and a half hours home. The clutch was getting hot, and starting to slip a little, so I decided to call it a day at run #7. (Out of an incredible 10 runs) If I hated the car a little more, and could have afforded to have it break, I could have broken the minute easy. As it stands, I think I rocked H-stock like it was my Job. My poor tires took a majority of the abuse. It was an awesome course with some awesome people. Julie got some pictures, we'll try to post what we have (Some of the Metro, in case you don't believe me)

Rex won the body roll award of the day. Only two cars had any major issues, and both knew something was up when it broke. Red RX7 broke something in his suspension (had apparently had some work done to it this week) and the blue SRT-4 stripped the threads right off the lugs on the passenger front wheel in one of the turns (apparently this is a common problem). Luckily, he felt it getting ready to happen and had started to slow down.
I did two sessions in the supra and finally got my best time down to 48.909. I am very pleased and man did I miss driving that car on track. Linds drove the 240 which also held up very well (I wasn't sure what was going to happen there :p) I got a ride with her and was extremely impressed.
The course was an extremely fast course, but still pretty technical. I think I got up to ~55mph (or whatever redline in 2nd gear is for me) at two seperate point on the track.
Once again, another great autoX led by Jon and NASA. Can't wait for the next one Big Grin

Yes, we know, we explained the situation to Jon, it won't happen again.

I think the red FD broke a ball joint...not positive on that though.

It was a frickin' awesome course, very speedy and fun. Rode with my friend in the silver Evo VIII and it was intense...cones were flying past me before I had a chance to register whether or not we had cleared the last section. Crazy stuff!

It wasn't the situation as much as the not knowing... and a cellphonecall at 10:15am doesn't count as "giving Felton some advance notice"

At any rate, thanks for all your help, I hope you all had a blast! Results are up:
