i'm going to put this here instead of starting a new thread.
i was wondering what class i would be in with the mods i have now (look below). also, with lowering, adjustable front shocks (but not while at track) sway bar upgrade and adding one to rear. wider rims and tires.

upon reading this>http://www.odr-scca.org/DIY-classing.htm
i see i'm in STX now, but if i change my upper/lower intakes and bigger throttle body, then i'm in SP. then adding a cam puts me in SM. and hopefully, all that will get done don't care which class really because for me it's just for fun.

that's right, come on down and join the cool kids in SM. All it really means is that you've put entirely too much money in your car

Well here is my no where nearly as well written write up on yesterdays autocross.
I headed out from Alexandria a little after 6. I went to the gas station to fill up the azenis sitting in my back seat and trunk. Everything goes fine until I go to fill up the third tire, it was completely flat. I filled it up higher then the others and crossed my fingers that it wouldnÔÇÖt loose much air by the time I got to Richmond. I called Jay on the way down and he let me know he had an air compressor, just in case it didnÔÇÖt. I arrived around 8 and got working unloading my things and changing my wheels. I checked the previously flat tire and it seemed to be holding air just fine. Weird. I got someone to help me bleed the brakes too. I think the rear caliper seals are going bad. I keep getting air into the system back there. After they where bleed they still felt like crap. No time to bleed them again at that point. I walked the course with jay and scott once, then it was time for the drivers meeting. I really like to walk the course at least 4 times, but it was a really long course and there was no time. Fortunately the lay out was fairly simple, so I didnÔÇÖt have any problems getting lost. My first run was a 59.xxx. Each run I got faster and faster. I know I could have gotten into the 54ÔÇÖs with a few more runs. With the high speeds I was a little scared about having to much oversteer. I adjusted my driving, tire pressures, and struts accordingly. Looking back I could have used more oversteer. I was able to ride in the fourth fastest car there, Al knapps VVL powered NX2000. That thing was fast. After I rode with him I realized I sucked at the Chicago box. I know my car is a lot faster, and I donÔÇÖt do it justice. On the plus side I actually started the day out driving fairly smoothly, unlike last event where I didnÔÇÖt have a good run until fun runs started. It was nice to finally meet some people. I never got to give lillitnn92 a ride. Im always up for giving ride alongs, as long as its not my last run. Consider this a never ending open invitation. It was also nice to see so many SE-RÔÇÖs there. I think there where like 6 or 7. Most of them did pretty well too. We hit a few spots of traffic on the way home on 95, but nothing that lasted too long. I am also very happy with my V1 purchase. It has already paid for itself. I hope to make the May 8th event, but I havenÔÇÖt registered yet because im still not sure. If I am able to make it, it will probably be my last event in STS. Moving on to SM soon. Ill miss the fierce competition in STS. I also have some in car video, and a short clip of scott driving jays car. Ill try to get it transferred, but I donÔÇÖt have a place to host it. -Mike
