the calendar that "events" on the top menu bar never has anything in it. that'd be cool for quick glances at things instead of having to wade through knee deep message board spam to find stuff ;x
EDIT: poll added

Adam is slowly taking over the web stuff (ViPER1313) and as far as the calendar goes... whoever decided that they HAVE to have this on a windows server... (I remember the debate)... can shove it.
The calendar was hacked about a week ago. I'm getting a replacement. It won't be up until after finals.
Who the hell keeps hacking MM / your shit? Common IP address?

No... my shit was hacked on an old sun box. This was just an exploit for the shitty asp calendar.

Yes, that is awesome, but it would replace the current "events" section of the forum. It would be too much of a pain to maintain two separate forums of discussion on the same events.
Decide for yourself:

Edit: It seems you can link events with topics on a forum. VERY confusing though.
Actually, it's not too bad at all. Visit that site and screw around a bit. If you all like this idea, we can implement it with the current "Events" forum.
Another thought. Although this thing is cool. If we don't like it... uninstalling will be a bitch. Also, I'm hesitant to mess with the forum in any way because it's so perfect as it is. Hmmmm.... i mean, if we get a concensus, I'll install it for sure.... making it a poll...
The events forum could be used just like it was before, but it would be easy to see when events are coming up by looking at the calendar. No updating of the calendar necessary - just put in the date of an event when posting it in the events section. Just back up the forum before installing it, then if it fuxors everything 30min of shit is lost  . Worth the risk IMO. As for uninstall, I'll have to take Jacks word on that.
