Autoshow Season!!! Post your favs here.

Now that its autoshow season there are a bunch of hot new concepts out to fantasize about. Post em here boys.

Today an especially signficant concept for Honda was posted on vtec.net from the Tokyo Auto Salon. See, Honda has never made a production V8 before and here for the first time was a V8 in a concept Acura RL (Honda Legend in Japan).

It weighs 131 Kg, produces 500 hp, and displaces 4.0L. The race version of the engine makes 590 hp/383 ft-lbs. Hopefully some variant of this makes it into the next NSX. What's awesome is that it doesn't weigh too much which means Honda might be able to sneak the next NSX in under 3000 lbs. Still, its at least 2 years away from most accounts.

Anybody have any news on some of the other sports car concepts. The Shelby? Saleen (S7 turbo)? I must admit I haven't been paying as much attention lately.

right now it looks kinda ugly and (to me) doesn't reflect a lotus-like design....although you can see the resemblance to the last model in some ways. it will be interesting to see what lotus has to offer in the next 5-8 years, seeing as how its surviving solely on the elise right now.

heh, woops....kind of important stuff i left out there. the only info i have, according to R&T, is that it "will be be powered by a mid mounted V8 using forced induction." i have a feeling weight will come in around 2800 pounds.
