How to hail-proof your car....
#1
So I went home this weekend and arrived shortly before a really bad storm. Weather reports were warning of large hail. Confusedhock: We have a 4 car-carport but of course, my car is the black sheep 5th car Cry ...so this is what we came up with to protect my 'maro. An old mattress, a tarp, a camping pad, and blankets. This is how to hail-proof your car...redneck style.

Only on a Camaro. Did you consider putting it up on blocks and taking the wheels off first? I kid, I kid.

Hey, whatever works. :dunno: I hail-proof my car only with insurance, but it's also hit everything but the lottery in 5 years.

nice execution  i feel your pain. lived in apartments for 10 years.

best thing i could come up with was to haul ass to either the complex's car wash port, or find a parking garage or gas station. thankfully we never got anything that would have really done damage.

The mattress was sacrificed for the cause. It became a giant sponge for all the rain. When we took it off the roof, it weighed at least twice as much as it did prior to this set up :p

Haha. That's great. Hopefully the extra weight didnt dent the roof.
