and you're not driving up 33W today, then I don't know what you're doing with your life but it's wrong.

You kids should get out there and enjoy this weather for us poor bastards stuffed in a climate controlled cubicle trying not to feel too sorry for ourselves.

Ah know right? I have a 45 minute 14 mile commute home. I get to hit the loud pedal once turning onto Fairfax County Parkway, and I get one corner on West Ox (if no one is in front me, they always are). That's it. I need to move somewhere with mountains, get a job and then buy a house 30 minutes down the curviest road possible. Now that's a commute.

Thats horrible. You guys and the CF Nova traffic. I have a 8 mile commute that takes no more than 10 minutes now. And I plan on doing some corner carving up Bent mountain later on the bike.

If I could get a job in my industry in Roanoke I'd move home in a heartbeat. Sadly, even if one popped up it'd take me a year to find another one if I lost it. I'll serve my time in NOVA like the rest of us 20-somethings up here, but eventually I'm moving the hell out of here to somewhere where I can get in my car and drive where I wanna go without having pent-up-throttleitis, park right in front of the building, and not want to commit genocide before I'm halfway through grocery shopping. :roll:

What industry is that exactly? I can try to keep an eye out since we have a ton of local clients here in Roanoke and surrounding areas.

Innernet. Right now (provided my contract doesn't get dropped) I want to stay where I am. There's some interesting stuff going on and I want to be sitting right where I am when it pans out. However, I'm still getting extended in 2 or 3 month increments and I'm not sure if/when I'll be transitioned to a full time employee. Right now I'm waiting for news on whether or not I get extended past March 30.

Lauren also just got a job up here so I think we're going to be here for a few more years at the least. I am casually looking (might be aggressively looking in a week or two) for entry/associate level Web Content Mananger/Specialist, Account/Client Manager, Platform Manager, Project Manager and some other stuff. Basically any roll that straddles the tech/business line. I'm no business prodigy, and I'm object-oriented programming retarded, so something that lets me use my strong parts of both areas is a good fit.
