Pretty much says it all. I'm a little flexible on price, but we'll see what kinda bites it gets at that level first

100$ to anyone who sends the buyer my way, since im doubting this is up the alley of any MMer

MFing craigslist doesnt seem to want to show my postings on the main page. Anyone got a clue how I can get that resolved?

Re: 2008 Malibu 1LT - BLINGMW - 12-10-2011

I wouldn't mention the minor repairs, nor would I say the body is "mostly straight". Makes it sound like a POS. Especially with all those miles...

Compared with what? Autotrend wrote "It's a refreshing distraction from all the bland-mobiles rolling out of so many Asian-owned factories. "

Yep, you got ghosted. Nobody is seeing your ad, and there's nothing you can do about it. I do not understand CL's motivation for this, but you're going to have to do a new ad, without so many embedded pictures. I guess CL doesn't understand how the internet works, or that people don't just want their shitty, overcompressed pictures in their ads.

Whatever, it's free, right? (Hint, put your shit on autotrader.)

Re: 2008 Malibu 1LT - HAULN-SS - 12-11-2011

Ah - thanks for the tips. I'll try to re-list it.

I doubt I put it on autotrader - I'll most likely end up trading it in. As I was telling adam, I just listed it high to see what kind of bites it might get so I know how bad I'll probably get screwed on trade.

The qualifications for ghosting are mysterious, arcane, and proprietary. So, yes, <img src="blah"> can get you ghosted on craigslist if you put "too many" in your ad. Another is if you link them from multiple sources, or use "too much" HTML.

Re: 2008 Malibu 1LT - BLINGMW - 12-12-2011

maybe just try linking like 4-6 pictures then a link to a photo album or something. That's what I usually do and haven't had problems (yet)

They will probably give you about $6500-$7200 on a trade. Regardless of what they "show" you as a trade, that's what the car is worth to them at an auction and is basically the real money they will put in it. If you can get more than that on a private sell and use it as a down payment, you will be good.

Re: 2008 Malibu 1LT - Apoc - 12-13-2011

I use img src all the time and haven't really had any problems... at least I don't think I have. Then again, I rarely put more than 4 images in a post.

That keyword bullshit can also get you ghosted, I think.
