Andy, aka jackstands, put the pictures up and let me tell yo - KPWSerpiente - 09-10-2004

u about some irony.

I went to Dan's house to help Andy pull the tranny even though around noon he posted that he already had it out. Showed up and he was under the car and sure enough the tranny was on the ground. After he pulled off the clutch we got a good look at the flywheel bolts.......and uh, pictures are needed but basically 6 of the 8 had backed out. Needless to say he was a little angry with D.J. from E.T. motorsports who had done some of the work on the car.

Flash forward through an hour of bullshitting. I'd met Andy before at advanced auto and his friend Dan who also works there tells me he is planning to leave so I decide (because I need $$) I need to head over and try and get myself a job.

Walk in, grab the app, start filling it out outside the store when a guy walks up and wants to know who designed the sidemounted intercooler on my car. Introductions are made and sure enough, it is D.J. from E.T. Motorsports. So another hour of bullshitting about the DSM world and the race cars that make up the harrisonburg population goes by and I'm on my way again.

I didn't bring up the fact that you blame him and or his shop with gross negligence in the clutch installation...figured I'd leave that to you.

Dave, you've seen their shop. They gave me a good deal on my brakes, and hooked me up with that engine I later got ripped off on...but I'm not 100% sure I'd ever want them working on any car I owned..

it was a big mistake on my part. I should've done it myself but it was still winter. I'll post pics once I get back from class.

hey, finally took pics of the flywheel and clutch. can't figure out how to post. can someone help. thanks

go to we-todd-did or some site like that, upload pics, then when you go to post, hit the Img button in the "message body" part of the reply window and then paste the link to the pics. then hit the Img button directly afterwards.

in conclusion, drink your school, stay in drugs, and don't do milk.

flywheel bolts backed out, chewed up the aluminum.

Look at the inner ring of the pressure plate. The hub of the clutch disc started to rub the inner ring of the pressure, and started chewing some of it off.

Where's that picture from when you first pulled off the pp and exposed the flywheel? It's ugly seeing 6 chewed up bolts sticking halfway out.

we used a shitty camera and everything was blurry, oh well. You know what though, it's been almost two weeks now, and still no word from them about my new flywheel. I shouldn't be surprised though.
