Damnit... here goes - Cody - 10-10-2011

After sitting around VIR this weekend, not having an affordable car to put through multiple HPDE weekends I've come to the conclusion I wantz one. This is a want (not a need) so I'm looking around the $800-$1,500 range. 93-95 325is that I could slowly turn into Spec way down the road or wdaFeva. I feel that E30s are a little too much for me to deal with and having a slightly newer car e36 gen will pay off in the long run. I'm not looking to rush a purchase in anyway, in fact I'll be trying the sit back and wait for the exact car I want and price to pop up (takes some time but well worth it end the end). I'm looking for a 93-95 5 speed black or silver exterior 325is 130,000ish miles or less for $800-1,500. If you see any in the Nova, Hburg, or Hampton Roads area keep me posted and maybe I'll let you drives it.

Disclaimer: You may be thinking cool bro, another BMW  or :vomit: maybe even  I don't care  and am stoked to pursue a car to track

....this strikes me as highly unlikely unless it needs a decent amount of body work or the driveline has some real problems. Be it E30 or E36, sub $1500 is a pretty busted car. But good luck! I support your quest.

I've found a couple out in Virginia Beach with 140,000ish miles for $1,500 that are in good condition, I heard this is a undervalued market so hopefully there's some truth to it. I'm also willing to deal with a little bit of body work if need be.

Why would you narrow down your possible results by limiting the exterior color to black or silver especially when you are going to track it anyways?

Cause I can, am in no rush, and would like to DD it for a little while.

So.... why haven't you bought one yet :dunno:

Re: Damnit... here goes - Cody - 10-10-2011

After Hurricane Irene that's definitely a concern, I'll be looking at them closely haha.... I need a couple more paychecks and I'll be good to make moves.

Re: Damnit... here goes - Ole - 10-11-2011

How will you check if it has been underwater?

Re: Damnit... here goes - Cody - 10-11-2011

Smell, check carpeting, visible rust, electric systems, bring it by a local shop back home (if bought in hampton roads) to get checked out. Any other tips?
