To buy or not to buy (Subaru Guys) - Levey - 10-05-2011 <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://lynchburg.craigslist.org/cto/2631070269.html">http://lynchburg.craigslist.org/cto/2631070269.html</a><!-- m --> So the car has a salvage title from a passenger side collision (passenger front door was replaced) and some dents that could probably be removed by paintless dent guys. The salvage title part needs a few more questions answered. The car books for 8,000 stock. Is this a potentially awesome deal as long as the frame is good and the car tracks straight and tires wear evenly? Re: To buy or not to buy - JPolen01 - 10-05-2011 What do you plan to do with it? Just daily? Re: To buy or not to buy - Levey - 10-05-2011 Snow-age, keep the miles off the SS Re: To buy or not to buy (Subaru Guys) - DavidL - 10-05-2011 Just looking at the mods, plus the salvage title... could be a huge headache.. is it worth it? Re: To buy or not to buy (Subaru Guys) - Levey - 10-05-2011 Valid point. I guess I'll have to go look at it. I agree that it's risky buying a modded vehicle, especially with a salvage title. I'll have to get the guys story, see if he has any paperwork, take the car on a hefty test drive. I wouldn't pay asking price, I'll have to see how much he'll come down. Re: To buy or not to buy (Subaru Guys) - Mike - 10-06-2011 modded, salvage, and auto. i don't see why you would. Re: To buy or not to buy (Subaru Guys) - CaptainHenreh - 10-06-2011 4EAT+WRX=FAEL Add in the "custom ram air intake" and the "I have no idea what turbo I have" and you should already be closing this window. Re: To buy or not to buy (Subaru Guys) - ScottyB - 10-06-2011 yeah, there's a reason its so cheap. let the vultures pick that one apart, wait for a better deal. Re: To buy or not to buy (Subaru Guys) - Jake - 10-06-2011 Modded + Auto + Salvage Title? You'd be better off enduring Kaan's Miata Hate than driving this. If you're gonna get a WRX, do it right and find three pedals, clean title, no mods. Re: To buy or not to buy (Subaru Guys) - Kaan - 10-06-2011 i'm with Jake... Miata > that waggy Re: To buy or not to buy (Subaru Guys) - JPolen01 - 10-06-2011 I am with everyone else. This thing is priced the way it is for a reason. Pass Re: To buy or not to buy (Subaru Guys) - Levey - 10-06-2011 Well after I went and looked, I passed. I offered him 3k, he turned it down. Figured for 3k , why the hell not. The car ran and drove great and straight. The dents I thought could be pulled would need more work than that. I'll keep looking. Thanks for the advice fellas. And it being an auto definitely lived up to you guys' expectations: poopy Re: To buy or not to buy (Subaru Guys) - ScottyB - 10-06-2011 if you want a subaru, this ain't a bad deal. 5500 w/spares, racing goodies, recent maintenance, last year of the classic body in one of the best colors. <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://raleigh.craigslist.org/cto/2630298982.html">http://raleigh.craigslist.org/cto/2630298982.html</a><!-- m --> ![]() ![]() |
