Paintless Dent/Hail Repair in Nova? - Apoc - 08-21-2011

I managed to leave my car out in a pretty serious hail storm, despite having a perfectly good garage. The result is minor, but very widespread hail damage in the form of small indentations all over the damned place. I'm probably going to make a claim for it, but wanted to see if there were recommendations on who/where before the insurance company tried to steer me to one of their places.

Also, anyone have an idea what the total bill for something like this is? I believe my comprehensive deductible is $500. I've been considering lowering that for about 6 months too. Sad

I tried to take pics of the car, but it didn't really come out with my cell phone. I need to get it wash to make it more clear and then maybe I'll whip out a real camera to see if I can capture it. In the meantime, here are pics during the storm and an after pic of the damage to my deck.

Casey had a few dings removed and our was like $75. So $25 per....but I doubt with that many dings it would be a per ding rate.

I think it varies widely depending on how bad the dents are and how many of them there are. I would expect it to be high enough for you to just go ahead and do it through insurance and pay the deductible though.

Go ahead and do it through insurance. I had some really bad hail damage on my WRX a few years ago. It was covered under comprehensive and I was only out $100 for that deductible. They replaced my hood (it's aluminum and is super soft) and PDR'd the rest of the car. The PDR was in the area of $1800 I believe. So all said and done with the new hood it was close to $3,000
