Stuntriding. Lets get something going in the Hbizzle - Martin - 09-08-2004 I wanted to start a thread about something that I'm really passionate about and something I'd like to start in the JMU area. Stuntriding is the single most fun thing you can do on a motorcycle. My friends and I used to do track days and this is 10 times more fun, and in my opinion, a ton more safe. We used to ride 5 nights a week in a big industrial parking lot, take it slow and critique each others riding. Its the most fun you will have on or off a motorcycle. I'm to the point where I don't ever ride on the street anymore, its too dangerous and nowhere near as fun. The wheelies we do are super slow, which are actually a lot harder than fast wheelies but theyre really safe. My partners and I haven't really had any crashes. I can help with setting up the bikes, I can build you a engine cage and a 12 bar for the cost of the steel. hit me up on IM - 'usedcarking5000' I'd really like to get something going peace Martin - Feersty - 09-08-2004 A friend of mine in ISAT, Dustin is pretty involved in it. - Mike - 09-08-2004 Sounds illegal. - G.Irish - 09-08-2004 Stunt 101  ? It seems like it would be kind of fun in the same vane as MotoX or drifting really. I'm more of a competition guy so I'd be interested in racing bikes but learning some of the stunts sure would come in handy for that victory lap . Gotta get that bike first tho...Do you guys get harassed by the cops at all? I'd imagine it'd fall under the reckless driving umbrella. - Mike - 09-08-2004 Some guys down in Texas got their autocross lot shut down because guys were stunt riding on it at night... - Martin - 09-19-2004 ![]() ![]()
- JackoliciousLegs - 09-19-2004 you're crazy - G.Irish - 09-19-2004 What event at SP was that? - .RJ - 09-19-2004 Hyperfest first year I think - Maengelito - 09-19-2004 .RJ Wrote:Hyperfest first year I think - Martin - 09-24-2004 http://www.servinitup.com/pictures/fast%20circles.wmv fast circles.. just about the hardest thing in the game now - Kaan - 09-24-2004 ok where can i get a job where i can afford to throw bikes around? someone hook me! - ViPER1313 - 09-25-2004 Kaan Wrote:ok where can i get a job where i can afford to throw bikes around? someone hook me! Racewars - Martin - 09-25-2004 Kaan Wrote:ok where can i get a job where i can afford to throw bikes around? someone hook me! its the cheapest thing ever man. I wouldnt pay more than $1500 for a stuntbike. I paid $200 for my bike and i've put about $200 into it. - Martin - 10-04-2004 I'm selling my 1988 HondaCBR 600 stuntbike for $800. You won't find a better stuntbike for the money than this beast. I'm askin $1000 on other forums, but I'll sell it for $800 if she stays in the JMU/nova area. It burns no oil, Ive always taken really good care of it. Even though its a stuntbike, it hasnt been trashed. The oil is changed every couple of runs, and I dont take the RPMS very high when i ride it. This bike is totally set up for stunting- its got the monster 71 tooth sprocket, engine crash cage and 12 bar-high pressure fuel pump for long wheelies. Its got heavy motocross footpegs. front brakes calipers and master from a 2000 CBR. Its got the shortened exhaust pipe. Oversized front and rear tires in decent shape. everything on it is in great running shape. The bike has a ton of life left in it. I gotta make room, i got too many bikes. i'll deliver it for $.90 a mile - .RJ - 10-04-2004 Damn, i should buy it for a street bike
- Martin - 10-04-2004 yea, all it needs to be streetable is a headlight. i'll slap it on there and i'll put a VA state inspection sticker on it and its good to go. I'll include a regular 45 tooth sprocket for regular street use.. the 71 tooth sprocket maxes out around 6omph - Kaan - 10-04-2004 we'll i'll take a beater for 400... :-P and i might even throw it up and down the road too - Martin - 10-05-2004 heres your beater for 400.... http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/mcy/44584039.html 1990 gs500 in reston - Ginger - 10-06-2004 I need a job that pays more.... Keep me informed on whether you've sold that bike or not (your CBR600, not that GS on Craig's list). In a few weeks I'd seriously be in the market for it. |
