Yeah. It really is way more than it's worth.
Someone should drop the 4 or so k this thing is worth and buy it so I can drive it around some.

I guess you guys just dont know much about the market for MR2 turbos.
The enthusiasts I have talked to, including 2 students I have had, have said that it is very hard to find a good condition MR2 T for less than $10k
If "sport roof" (?) = hardtop, then its even harder to find and worth more.

- Chris - 09-07-2004

yeah they hold their value fairly well. This month's GRM has an article on the MR2 from the 80's. I would love to pick one up as a project/track/autox car.

- ScottyB - 09-07-2004

wow, im pretty surprised at the price too. especially for a '91. i've heard 94 and 95's cost an arm and a leg, maybe a kidney too.

uh.... no.
I was about to buy a black MR2T with like 90k. STOCK and BEAUTIFUL for 6500. I just decided I needed to stay under 5Gs. They're hard to find, yes. But not worth more than 10k. oh, and that one that I was looking at was a '93. The year they stopped having tranny trouble.
