Now the wait is over  ![]() I've been looking for one pretty intensely again, and finally found this gem down in Chapel Hill, NC. Bone stock, about 130k miles, and a 5-speed. I've driven a couple other TT Zs, and this is definitely the quickest stock Z I've been in. For a 14 year old car, it's in absolutely awesome shape - a few cosmetic blemishes but not a spot of oil underneath, no rust, and an incredibly solid ride without many of the creaks and squeaks associated with older sports cars. Boost is strong, no signs of any engine issues, tranny is good - but of course I'll be giving it the royal treament over the next couple of weeks (timing belt and 60k maintenance, fluids change, brakes, and a couple of improvements). Did I mention it's really fast? w00t 8) - Chris - 09-06-2004 so will this be the HPDE car now? I know you were considering the V dub, but this would just be too much fun. - damnit458 - 09-06-2004 Congrats again...great car, im sure you will have a lotta fun in it  - Maengelito - 09-06-2004 MM Z TT? - Chris - 09-06-2004 oh yeah, the license plate has got to come soon! - JohnC - 09-06-2004 Chris Wrote:so will this be the HPDE car now? I know you were considering the V dub, but this would just be too much fun. Yes, this will be the HPDE car. Not sure which event will be the first - I've got a lot of work to do before I put it on track. Needs a bigger radiator, new tranny cooler, new rotors/pads/lines/brake fluid, HICAS (four wheel steering) elimination, and possibly some different tires (although the Ecstas that are on there have about 50% left)... Not to mention all the regular maintenance items. Maybe one of the late October or early November NASA events at Summit, we'll see. |
