PTC....a past time?? - missmotocross3 - 03-22-2011 On Thursday's edition of the Breeze they had this article in there about putting up 'gates' on campus so that traffic can't go through campus between 7am and 7pm. The OG's will be sad because their PTC time will be cut downnnnnn booooo Here is the article: http://www.breezejmu.org/news/article_183ade84-502c-11e0-a9d7-0017a4a78c22.html I think it is a good idea to cut some of the traffic out, but they will need a hell of a lot more buses to accomodate for people....what does everyone think? Re: PTC....a past time?? - Kaan - 03-22-2011 traffic was never that bad back in my day!
Re: PTC....a past time?? - D_Eclipse9916 - 03-22-2011 Bound to happen, theyve been talking for years about this. I honestly am not that opposed to it. Re: PTC....a past time?? - V1GiLaNtE - 03-22-2011 If it helps me from getting hit again on my bike I dig it.. Re: PTC....a past time?? - andrew_j - 03-22-2011 I can't even count how many times I have almost been hit on my bike by a girl text, reading, singing, dancing, doing her hair, and blasting through her campus in her scion. We all know the type I speak of. I avoid driving through campus anyways because of the pedestrian traffic, stop lights, and all that stuff. Its so much slower than driving around on port or south main. Re: PTC....a past time?? - TorinoCobra070 - 03-22-2011 This probably isn't going to effect me at all, but if I was going to be on campus next semester I don't think I would care. I park in C4 and walk anyway. Re: PTC....a past time?? - ScottyB - 03-22-2011 i used to love beating traffic across campus on my bike, riding at a leisurely pace. it was even congested way back then. deep down i will miss the PTC. it was a staple of fridays and definitely the most convenient way to observe hotties from the comfort of a seat. Re: PTC....a past time?? - Evan - 03-22-2011 PTC? even urbandictionary has nothing Re: PTC....a past time?? - Mike - 03-23-2011 pimp through campus... come on now. Re: PTC....a past time?? - Goodspeed - 03-23-2011 Me sad...the PTC was probably the single most important part of MM when I was on campus . We even held ricer meets at the bookstore for a time. Still, I get what they're trying to do, and they open at 7pm anyways for the evening pimping. The only major annoyances I can see it causing is that a) you'll pretty much be screwed if you want to go from class to your nearby-parked car to go do stuff as they seemingly are cutting out a lot of student parking and b) HDPT will really have to step their game up. Losing the convenience of not having to wait around for a bus, including 45 minutes if you just missed one and generally having to live around their schedule and all that BS may really wear on people. Jayray's famous! Re: PTC....a past time?? - Maengelito - 03-24-2011 UVA has gates that seem to be made of thin balsa wood and get smashed every weekend. When I had my Miata, I could fit under the gate with like an inch to spare which was awesome since there was never any traffic. |
