capital driver's club @ frederick - 9/4/04 - Mike - 09-04-2004 rode up to frederick md today for some autox action. i had never run with this group before, and like us they were still relatively new to hosting autocrosses and there were minor wrinkles to iron out. aside from little things, event went really well and i'll be running with them again next weekend. the course was really tight and required shifting (this is a bad thing with my busted tranny) in 2 spots. i was only able to get one of the shifts done all day so my times weren't exactly stellar. i tried adjusting my setup from what i usually use since this was a tight little course (shut up penaut gallery). i put the rear shocks full hard and the front 1/3 of the way hard. 40psi in the front and 39psi in rear... car rotated VERY nicely... almost felt like it was pivoting through the slalom as opposed to pushing through it. results (off the top of my head) 1. mg midget, carbon fiber everything, big sticky tires... 43.3 2. s2000, exhaust and big stickies are all i could tell... 43.5 3. wrx, dunno what was done to it aside from stickies, but it hauled ass... 45.? 4. little mercedes convertible thingie on stickies... 45.? 5. boosted gs-r... 46.2? 6. me? 46.4 there may have been more people in there, but from what i can tell everyone that is beating me runs stickies. I NEED STICKIES (plus an lsd, tranny, and some power). - damnit458 - 09-05-2004 How often does stuff like this happen arround NOVA?
