Smith and Wesson Model 15-3 .38 Special - SlimKlim - 05-11-2010 In light of the fact that I haven't played with any of my guns in a couple years, I'm thinning my collection out. This means I'm selling the best revolver ever made. The M15-3 was made from the 60's to the late 70's, and was the exact same as the Military and Police issue .38, except it has adjustable sights. This means if your daddy or granddaddy was a cop, he carried a gun just like this. If I'm reading into the stamping properly, this is a 1973 build, but they were all the same. According to the old fellow we bought it from, he carried it for years but rarely, rarely fired it. This means the gun is showing some holster wear, but the important bits are still fresh n'tight. I've put a good number of rounds through this gun and I know why everyone says its the best .38 (Don't believe me? Read here to see why I'm an idiot for selling it. http://thefiringline.com/forums/showthread.php?t=273458) The gun is powerful but incredibly smooth and easy to control. You can settle into a good stance and let all 6 rounds go in a row without ever feeling like you have to "readjust" that much, if you're into that kinda thing. The trigger is smooth, its accurate, easy to control, and I don't want to sell it, but I need the money and I haven't used it, nor will I until after college, at which point I'll buy another just like it. The Skinny: Its Blued, 4in Barrel, 6 Round Wheel, Double Action, No Manual Safety, some noticeable Holster Wear (its part of the charm, its from 1973), Has gay ass plastic grips on it which I can replace if the buyer so desires, or if the buyer has their favorite grips already picked out, you can have it as is. The buyer will get the gun, a bitchin black leather hip holster, and all the ammo I have left for it, as well as some snake shot rounds (great for pest (roommate) deterrence. (Except the roommate part, guns are weapons and that's not funny, except the snake shot just stings a lot so it wouldn't be that bad, but really don't kid around about that sort of thing) I'm listing it here first because 1.) I know a lot of MM guys are into guns as much as they are cars (Cabell, Kaan?) 2.) I like selling the things I'm fond of to friends so I know they are getting loved and I can visit them every once in a while (ex. My buddy has the steering wheel out of my E46) 3.) Most of you probably aren't serial killers, which is nice. Price: $350 OBO, Talk to meh. *Pics tomorrow, I left my camera at work and won't insult you with phone pics. Re: Smith and Wesson Model 15-3 .38 Special - CaptainHenreh - 05-12-2010 Got any other gunzzzzzzzz? Not a big wheelgun fan. Re: Smith and Wesson Model 15-3 .38 Special - SlimKlim - 05-12-2010 I have a Walther P22 with the Standard 3in Barrel in Black that I bought new and it literally has no scratches on it. I'm sort of emotionally attached but could probably be convinced to sell it if this happens to tickle your pickle at the moment. I don't plan to actively advertise it like the .38 is what i mean. I also have a 1941 Mosin-Nagant 7.62x54R but she ain't for sale. That thing is such a hand cannon, I <3 it. Set of pictures of the wheel gun uploading as I type... Re: Smith and Wesson Model 15-3 .38 Special - Ole - 05-12-2010 Mosins are deadly accurate guns. I get them for around $150 from my source with sites, more if you want a scope. Re: Smith and Wesson Model 15-3 .38 Special - HAULN-SS - 05-13-2010 Not really how he operates Re: Smith and Wesson Model 15-3 .38 Special - SlimKlim - 05-13-2010 Well then in that case have him buy this revolver, it'd make a great tooth brush holder. Re: Smith and Wesson Model 15-3 .38 Special - CaptainHenreh - 05-13-2010 I sold my Mosin, didn't like it. No *really* good ammo available, terrible terrible bolt & safety, "kills to the front, wounds to the rear". On the other hand, it doubles as an oar or tent pole.
