Lancer OZ Rally Sedan???? - Ole - 01-09-2010 Anybody know anything these? Are they decent cars? Turbo? Exterior is a 4 dr sedan. 5 Speed manual Trans... Its an '02, white. Looks like a nice car. Re: Lancer OZ Rally Sedan???? - Mike - 01-09-2010 They're turds. No turbo. Basically a poorly made economy car w/ extra plastic and "fancy" wheels. Re: Lancer OZ Rally Sedan???? - DroptopS13 - 01-09-2010 Like mike said all the previous iterations are shitty lancers with new wheels and looks, though the most recent one finally does the oz rally badge some justice and gets an evo x engine (detuned with a smaller turbo), awd and all those goodies. Re: Lancer OZ Rally Sedan???? - WRXtranceformed - 01-10-2010 My brother has driven one for a while and it's turned out to be a really reliable dd for him. It's not fast or anything but he's got larger 5zigen rims with stickier tires and it's not a bad handling car. If you're looking for a really cheap dd you can beat the crap out of, it's not a bad option. Technically not the OZ Rally, but Ralliart; and yes AWD system taken from EVO IX, EVO X MR transmission and for some god awful it sits on the on the GTS frame. Re: Lancer OZ Rally Sedan???? - Jake - 01-10-2010 Ken, I want a ride in your Ralliart sometime. Just letting you know. I wanna see how the turbo + AWD + DSG-style trans work together

Re: Lancer OZ Rally Sedan???? - Sijray21 - 01-11-2010 no stock turbo. i've actually driven one - weeeaaaakkk. they're so weak with poor handling i wouldn't even consider it as an enthusiast. the thing understeered like i couldn't believe. the body lean was piss-poor for a car with 'upgrades'. Meh, handling could be better, tires are too skinny (215s) and like i said the fact that it sits on the GTS frame really sucks. it's a quick car, not fast but i do think it's a worthy alternative to a EVO X for those who want to spend less and don't necessarily want to track a car/ a better DD. As for converting turbos, i was debating it and it pretty much is a straight conversion, actual turbo then upgrade IC and piping then tune the ECU. That should put you well into the EVO's range, actually depending on how aggressively it is tuned, past it. |
