Free - rollbar padding - Sijray21 - 01-04-2010 as stated in the title - roll bar padding i have 3 'sticks' of i *believe* 3" roll bar padding black in color, foam material i do not need this anymore and just seeing if anyone wants it before it goes in the trash Re: Free - rollbar padding - drivesideways46 - 01-04-2010 I wouldn't mind repadding the rollbar in the Mustang, but I don't know when I could come pick it up from you. If anyone else can use it more/earlier, feel free! Re: Free - rollbar padding - PDenbigh - 01-04-2010 Is it the soft stuff or the hard stuff? The JMU Mini Baja team could use it, but only as a secondary to any MM member that will use it. Re: Free - rollbar padding - D_Eclipse9916 - 01-05-2010 I need it, if the offer is still open. I can pick it up anytime this week. I was actually looking to get some shortly. Bar goes in this month if I have time. Re: Free - rollbar padding - Sijray21 - 01-05-2010 i believe it's the soft kind - it's just the cheap foam kind without an exterior cover. if/when i'm in the h-burg area i'll reply to this thread and/or contact you guys if no one in the DC metro area wants this. it was pretty cheap to buy anyway, so i don't want anyone to make a specific trip just for this. Re: Free - rollbar padding - D_Eclipse9916 - 01-05-2010 im no longer in hburg, in tysons!

It is really only useful for getting in and out of the car and not getting a knot on your head. For anything at speed, you should use the high density stuff, like this: http://www.pegasusautoracing.com/productselection.asp?Product=2391 . The low density stuff will compress immediately any serve no purpose. Re: Free - rollbar padding - D_Eclipse9916 - 01-06-2010 Yeah I know Pete, the way the roll bar is in with harnesses I should have no problem with my actual body hitting any part of the bar, except maybe a hand or something flinging around, which is why I want the padding. Its not a cage, so im not too worried about my helmet/head coming into contact with the bar. |
