We live, we ride, we sell.... Jeep - Jeff - 12-08-2009 As of Friday last week Woodstock Garage Inc. was approved to receive the Jeep franchise. This makes us a Genesis dealership holding all 4 major Chrysler brands: Chrysler, Dodge, Ram, and now Jeep. We have one year to begin a renovation to make the facility completely Genesis compliant. This process has another 24 months to be completed. It will include a complete reface of the building to meet the current design for Genesis dealers (the aluminum arch and individual signs). Also we will be reconfiguring the show-room, office, and service areas for more interior volume for sales. The last changes to the building were made in the early 1960's, my Great Grandfather chose the flooring after seeing it in a hotel in Florida in 1961. Our first wrangler, a Red Rock 2dr Sport-S should be here in the next day or so, pics to follow. Re: We live, we ride, we sell.... Jeep - Goodspeed - 12-08-2009
Re: We live, we ride, we sell.... Jeep - Jake - 12-08-2009 ![]() Should be cool to see how the building changes with the new signage and stuff. I guess a new floor every 40 years couldn't hurt? Congrats to y'all! Re: We live, we ride, we sell.... Jeep - Sijray21 - 12-08-2009 Goodspeed Wrote: you really do have a gif for any occasion... :evileye: Re: We live, we ride, we sell.... Jeep - PDenbigh - 12-08-2009 Congrats Jeff!! I hope it works out great for you all! Re: We live, we ride, we sell.... Jeep - Jeff - 12-09-2009 Thanks for the replies. Actually the floor is staying. My grandfather is sorta sentimental sometimes and he made the call that the floor had to stay. It is waxed once a month and looks like the day it was put in. It will probably go once he sees how out of place it will look in the new modern showroom...oh well. Here's to hoping this works out. Jeep is the number one domestic brand for residual value and the Jeep name is legendary. Some of the new product coming for this year (the HD truck, new redesigned interior for Caliber, the Phoenix 'Pentastar' V6 engines) will hold us over until the new and exciting product makes it over from Europe. I hope they do the diesel/electric Hybrid 1500 Ram that is in the works. The Pentastar V6 is a really neat thing to. I got to help unload the first ones to arrive at the Baltimore training center yesterday. So many cool things going on there. Exhaust manifolds built into the heads, no brackets for any of the accessories, all 4 cams have "v-tec," MDS, supposedly as quite as a 4 banger Honda and 280hp.
Re: We live, we ride, we sell.... Jeep - NTIman - 12-09-2009 Awesome! I really hope that Chrysler can pull something amazing off and thoroughly revive themselves. Not that I think I'd ever be a fan of them, but it'd be hard to see them go if it came to that. Jeeps are pretty decent though, they sold a boatload of them next door to us before the franchise was removed. Definitely a product that sells itself its seems. I hope the remodeling goes well too, but man, its a PITA to try to work while they're remodeling a dealership, we went through a half remodel about 2 years ago, I'm glad its over. Re: We live, we ride, we sell.... Jeep - CaptainHenreh - 12-09-2009 Manifolds built into the heads? Is this 1960's Ford? Re: We live, we ride, we sell.... Jeep - Maengelito - 12-09-2009 Thats awesome news, congrats Jeff and Woodstock Garage! Re: We live, we ride, we sell.... Jeep - .RJ - 12-09-2009 Honda is doing it too. Meh. Re: We live, we ride, we sell.... Jeep - ScottyB - 12-09-2009 congrats Jeff. so i take it this means you'll have fiats on the lot at some point? Re: We live, we ride, we sell.... Jeep - WRXtranceformed - 12-09-2009 .RJ Wrote:Honda is doing it too. Meh.Yeah my engine has its "headers" basically welded in as part of the block. People who replace the exhaust on the J-series basically remove the pre-cats and the "J-pipe" which is basically the next thing down that could sort of be considered the headers haha Re: We live, we ride, we sell.... Jeep - Jeff - 12-09-2009 I'm not saying that the built in header is good for the performance aftermarket...F them. It makes the engine cheaper to build and more reliable. No gaskets to fail and its much harder for the 'manifold' to warp. Fiats on the lot? I sure hope so. We need a 35mpg little car like yesterday! Re: We live, we ride, we sell.... Jeep - ViPER1313 - 12-09-2009 And plastic intake manifolds and valve covers make it..... Re: We live, we ride, we sell.... Jeep - Steve85 - 12-09-2009 Congrats to you guys. Rough time to be a domestic dealer and I'm glad to see your family is able to grow the business through this. Re: We live, we ride, we sell.... Jeep - Jeff - 12-09-2009 ViPER1313 Wrote:And plastic intake manifolds and valve covers make it..... Cheaper to build and not any more likely to fail? Pretty much. Re: We live, we ride, we sell.... Jeep - Jeff - 12-09-2009 CaptainHenreh Wrote:Manifolds built into the heads? Not any more then the 1500 Ram's rear coils are 70's GM. New and better technology for better products and satisfied customers. :bootyshake: Re: We live, we ride, we sell.... Jeep - fiveoh2go - 12-09-2009 CaptainHenreh Wrote:Manifolds built into the heads?
