WTB an Altezza - LorenaBeana - 02-04-2004 Right...so I don't know what my "stripped nut" thing means on my avatar thing or whatever that is.... BUT - I want to know what ya'll think about the Lexus IS300. Although it isn't a supra, it IS a Toyota, and I CAN put a 2jz-gte in it, since it's pretty much the same engine...although I think I'd do better to install a single turbo on it. But anyway...what do ya'll think? My other options that I was seriously considering were the mk4 supra TT or 350Z. However, the supra would be too expensive, especially all of the tickets that would soon accrue, and the 350Z doesn't have a back seat. AND YES, BACK SEATS ARE PREFERRED! - Mike - 02-04-2004 A good/fun daily driver indeed. Have you thought about an SC300? - JackoliciousLegs - 02-04-2004 I have to say, I have a secret love for the IS300s. I think they are wonderful to drive and provide a GREAT balance of practicality and sporty...ness. The tranny is a joy to shift and power isn't amazing stock, but it's great for an allround car. It was one of my favorites to drive at carmax. - Evan - 02-05-2004 Great car. It was #2 on my list after the WRX when I was shopping. (although a distant 2nd of course )

(although a distant 2nd of course for my bro, it was a toss up between the IS300 and a bmw 325. he opted for the 325, but i was tryin to get him to get the IS300. - Mike - 02-06-2004 Maengelito Wrote:he opted for the 325, but i was tryin to get him to get the IS300. Because it has clear tails right? - CaptainHenreh - 04-02-2004 If you need a back seat, and like the 350z, have you considered a G35? The coupe (IMHO) is much, much, MUCH hotter than the Z, and even the sedan is still a crazy sporty car. (It's not an M5, but it's a kick ass sports sedan). But if you're talking about dropping that kind of money, an E36 M3 can be had for ~17. A guy I know got his for 15. He had to pick it up in Miami, though. He has no idea how it could have been so cheap... - Maengelito - 04-02-2004 MichaelJComputer Wrote:Maengelito Wrote:he opted for the 325, but i was tryin to get him to get the IS300. haha, i never saw that comment... - Chris - 04-02-2004 are you too blinded by the bling??

I'll prolly be getting an e36 m3 shortly after graduation... A guy I know got his M3 in great condition with low miles for 12k, it's all about who you know
- Dave - 04-02-2004 Cobetto is a bastard for picking up cheap, hot cars. - Evan - 04-02-2004 I considered buying a m3 not too long ago for a little under $10k If I came across a good deal on a M3 right now it would be very hard to resist.... - Maengelito - 04-02-2004 Evan Wrote:I considered buying a m3 not too long ago for a little under $10k isnt crxlee selling his e36 m3 for something like $12k obo? - Evan - 04-02-2004 I thought he was asking 15k or something? - Maengelito - 04-02-2004 Evan Wrote:I thought he was asking 15k or something? http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=803448&page=2 about halfway down the page: Quote:The M3 is up for sale again (Now bottom dollar $12,000 firm takes it and all the spares home) and may go on Ebay next week.
