Leaving H'Burg....and the car business. - Ryan T - 10-14-2009 Well, it's official, I'm changing jobs. A few of you that I'm close with already know some about this. Over the last two weeks I've been making several trips to Abingdon to line up this new job. It came to my attention when I was home for my birthday and thanks to some redneck politics and a few interviews I've accepted an offer. I'm going to be working for the Department of Corrections as a Probation Officer. This job is along the lines of what I went to school to do and will get me in the area of the workforce I want to be in. My last day at the dealership will be this coming Tuesday. I liked the car business and wouldn't mind staying in it, but I can't turn down 9am-4pm mon-fri for more money. Just thougth I'd share. I'm gonna miss the burg... Re: Leaving H'Burg....and the car business. - Maengelito - 10-15-2009 Congrats Thayer! I have no idea what probation officers do aside from making sure people on probation stay out of trouble. What else does the job entail? Re: Leaving H'Burg....and the car business. - D_Eclipse9916 - 10-15-2009 Congrats, definitely will be different not having you in town. Good luck with your new job! Re: Leaving H'Burg....and the car business. - PDenbigh - 10-15-2009 Congrats Ryan! Hope ya like it up there and it works out great for you! Re: Leaving H'Burg....and the car business. - Goodspeed - 10-15-2009 Still sad, our budding bromance obviously meant nothing to you. Just kidding, go kick ass and take names and get back to Hburg often. Go with christ bra! Re: Leaving H'Burg....and the car business. - Ryan T - 10-15-2009 Maengelito Wrote:Congrats Thayer! Anyone that is convicted of a misdemeanor and sentenced to probation (usually 12 months) has to cometo me. They have to meet with me, in person, once a month for the duration of their probation. I make sure they are staying out of trouble, not going more than 75 miles away, completing their community service and ASAP classes and such. I also write pre-trial letters to the judge for people who are on probation and get convicted of something else. I will generally have between 80 and 100 'clients'. |
