I'm a local that is hopefully on the road to becoming a middle school teacher (IDLS major).
I used to drive a 92 Camaro Z28 and started autocrossing with it back in 04 but tire prices, gas, insurance, and it being a high mileage PITA led me to my current obsession: my 97 Miata.
Mods: K&N air filter (CAI made my car run too lean?), Xcellerator muffler (old one fell off, borla will replace this one when it falls), $40 infamous "Ebay" coilovers, Koni shocks rear-Kyb craptastics front, Flyin Miata 1" front Swaybar, Fatcat Motorsports NB shock mounts-front, Hard Dog Hard Core Double Diagonal Rollbar, 15x7 Black Rota RB's 30mm offset with Dunlop Star Spec tires.
I've been autocrossing it since the first week I owned it and it's been an evolutionary process. I've been chasing Scott Krzastek in STS (formerly STS2), done a few circuitcrosses, and just overall have fun with this car.
Personal notes:
I'm old (25)
Married-If you find a pretty girl that lets you play with cars, marry her ass before she sobers up and realizes what she's in for!

You'll probably see my car out in No mans land in C4 or C6 on MWF 9:30am-1pm. I'm also probably the only one on campus who wears a VIR hat every day so I'm easy to spot.

If you get any faster, I am going to have to go back to developing my car.....

Thanks to John Lingenfelter, God rest his soul, people in the car world are the only ones who can get my last name right! I used to druel over an old Lingenfelter parts catalog when I was little.
Thanks for the welcoming and compliments!
Scott, just throw the rear swaybar at the next group of door to door sales people that walk up your driveway. Trust me you wont miss it and if you aim carefully you wont miss them either!
