Waffles vs. Pancakes - WRXtranceformed - 09-12-2009

This one is a lot harder.

I'm going to give it to waffles for a couple of reasons.

1) I can make them at home really easily. I have a box of frozen waffles in my freezer right now, all I need to do is throw it in the toaster.

2) I invented this awesome breakfast that consists of two toasted waffles, two slices of cheese on top and two eggs over easy on top of that. That mixture of waffle soaked in egg yolk and cheese is the win.

3) Waffles also invite jelly to go on them, so they are more versatile. You really can only eat pancakes with syrup

With that said, whenever I go out to eat at a breakfast place I usually order pancakes, because they're kind of a pain to make so I rarely make them. Pancakes have their time and place, sort of like that 3 star chick at the end of the bar who has been eyeing you all night and starts to look mighty good after all the talent has left.

1) They have frozen pankcakes

2) Eggs and pancakes all mixed up? Delicious.

3) Do this with a waffle:

Of course you could easily counter argue with:

Re: Waffles vs. Pancakes - Apoc - 09-12-2009

I don't understand why you can't put jelly on a pancake...

Re: Waffles vs. Pancakes - WRXtranceformed - 09-12-2009

Have you ever seen someone put jelly on their pancakes? I personally think that's weird.

Those are not waffles. Blegh.

Buy a waffle iron, it will change your life

Re: Waffles vs. Pancakes - Ryan T - 09-12-2009

I rarely eat either as breakfast, so I'm gonna say omelet.

But if I had to choose one, waffle, just because of all the variety available with it. A waffle with fresh fruit, syrup, peanut butter and powdered sugar will make you shit out funny sized bricks, but it's delicious.

Re: Waffles vs. Pancakes - ScottyB - 09-13-2009

waffle has maximum configuration possibilities. plus, belgian waffles are amongst the greatest foods ever for any meal. advantage = waffle.

yeah you can't really compare the ease of making frozen waffles to home made pancakes. but at least frozen waffles are edible compared to frozen pancakes

I really wish I had taken better advantage of the waffle iron at d-hall.

also, peanut butter on waffles > *

Re: Waffles vs. Pancakes - SlimKlim - 09-13-2009

Waffles are clearly a superior being.

Re: Waffles vs. Pancakes - Mike - 09-13-2009

draw. both have their merits.

Re: Waffles vs. Pancakes - Mike - 09-13-2009

you know what? since it's such a blowout in favor of waffles, i'm gonna go pancakes. banana waffles? no. choc chip waffles? no. blueberry waffles? not as good.

PANCAKES w/ butter pecan syrup.

Re: Waffles vs. Pancakes - Apoc - 09-13-2009

You're mad. I can even buy FROZEN choco chip waffles. And clearly, you've never had a banana waffle. They're good. Waffle with butter and syrup, waffle with ice cream, fuck yo pancakes.

Re: Waffles vs. Pancakes - Mike - 09-13-2009

i know you can buy or make anything... i'm saying it doesn't work as well.
