State inspection issues... - fiveoh2go - 09-01-2009

Where can I take my car to get inspected that would be willing to overlook a few things in the name of high performance?

Re: State inspection issues... - Goodspeed - 09-01-2009

I thought you'd know of all the good spots around here? I can't imagine any local place hating on a breathed-on domestic V8. I know Shenandoah Automotive on 42 overlooked somethings on my old car that had "failed" me*

*I believe I was failed simply for driving an import/to be handed 800 dollar repair bills

My regular guy is dragging his feet on fitting me in and the cars sticker expired in July...such is the life of a garage queen.

F it. I'll just drive it until I get an appointment with my regular guy.

Your car is too new. Jan 2 2010 I will be standing in line to get my antique plates.

You're gonna be standing in line for a year then. Big Grin

If you own a passenger vehicle, trailer, semi-trailer or motorcycle with a model year that is more than 25 model years old before January 1 of the current calendar year, you've got an antique!

It has to be 25 before the calendar year. Since it turns 25 in 2010, you're not eligible until 2011.

Will I be there 2 yrs?, "MORE than 25, BEFORE Jan1" It won't be more than 25 until the day of Jan 1 2011. I guess I need to call...

I really don't want to make another fake sticker.

Re: State inspection issues... - HAULN-SS - 09-02-2009

WV cops are fucking terrible for inspection/registration type tickets. I've been pulled over 3 times since living here. In Va, i drove around with no inspection or front plate on my SS for years and never got caught.
