JAVA programmer job post - stevegula - 05-01-2009 I need to find a person to ultimately serve as my replacement within my company as I make an effort to leave. Anyone here have any recommendation on things to post / look for to make sure I have some decent candidates? The job involves working with a WebLogic/J2EE application sporting an XML database on the backend. I'm actually a PHP programmer forced to work on a Java app, so I'm not sure what kind of things to even mention. Hell, I don't even know what the latest JVM version number is. - HAULN-SS - 05-01-2009 why do you need to do that? Seems like you should just be able to be done eh? - .paul - 05-01-2009 because he likes the ppl he works with and is making sure the bridge is still strong. i found a replacement for my last job. keeping good rapport is always a huge benefit in the long run. or him getting a position he wants in the company relies on finding a replacement for himself. - Evan - 05-01-2009 just learn Java yourself keep the job and you will wonder how you ever coded that php silliness
