Jess seemed to be very interested in keeping it for herself. :dunno:

- BLINGMW - 03-23-2009

eh that was just BS, I didn't really buy it for her

Man i've been looking for a decent beginner bike. Anything wrong with it?

- BLINGMW - 03-24-2009

Seriously no. At least not that I've found! Nothing at all other than the scratches pointed out in the ad. The only time I had trouble with it was when it was like 40 deg out and I went riding around the neighborhood (I would make a point to ride it every 2 weeks so I didn't have to worry about carbs gumming up). I think the automatic choke turned off a couple blocks away as it thought it was warmed up enough, and then it really didn't want to run. By the time I coasted/walked/sputtered into the driveway, it was finally running fine. :finger:

Because of the low end torque, light weight, and low seat, it's like the easiest bike I've ever ridden. It's like a diesel bike. No top end, but enough to keep up on the highway without issue. And I actually think it looks pretty cool. :dunno: I put a wrench on every nut/bolt I could find, did a little safety inspection and minor adjustments, it's ready to go.

Good to hear. I think im gonna check a few things tomorrow like insurance, etc and I'll get back to you. Maybe I can come down and check it out soon Big Grin

sounds good. FWIW, I think I pay like ~$100/yr on insurance for my GS500. It's hilariously cheap.

Ride it around for a few months or a season, sell it for the same price, and buy a faster bike.

I can't offer an MM price... but I might be talked into delivery to h'burg if you don't have a good way to pick it up.

Sorry Chan, it's not going to work out for me right now. Best of luck with the sale though
